Lip Filler Aftercare: The Do's & Don'ts

Gorgeous Hair Design, Droitwich · 4 min read

Great lip filler is about more than the treatment itself — good aftercare in the first few days really helps your results settle beautifully and naturally. Here's our simple do's and don'ts guide from the Gorgeous aesthetics team.

What to expect afterwards

Some swelling, tenderness or a little bruising in the first 24–48 hours is completely normal — lips are delicate and they respond quickly. This settles within a few days, and the final result becomes clear after about two weeks once any swelling has fully gone. Don't judge your lips on day one.

The do's

The don'ts

Planning around an event? If you have a wedding, holiday or special occasion coming up, book your lip filler at least two weeks beforehand so your lips look their settled, natural best on the day.

When to get in touch

Mild swelling and bruising are normal, but if you have severe pain, blanching (whitening) of the skin, or anything that concerns you, contact us straight away — we're here to look after you. Our qualified practitioners provide full aftercare guidance with every treatment, so you're never on your own.

Keeping your results

Lip filler typically lasts 6–12 months. Many clients have a small top-up once or twice a year to maintain their look. When you're ready, book a consultation and we'll create a subtle, natural result that's right for you — see our lip filler in Droitwich page, or explore our full range of aesthetic treatments.
